Huggies Newborn Diapers
When you bring your newborn baby home from the hospital – nothing is more important than making sure he or she feels safe and comfortable. That’s why Huggies newborn diapers are the perfect diapers to protect your baby’s delicate areas.
You’re going to be low on sleep, and just trying to get to know your new, precious baby and figuring out how to meet his every need. You can minimize crying and night-waking if he stays dry and comfortable while he’s asleep. The Huggies newborn diapers are excellent when it comes to absorbing wastes and they pull moisture and soil away from your baby’s skin so he never knows what hit him.
We found that we had to check on our son’s diapers when he was just born, to see if they were dirty. He never fussed or made any indication that he “had to go” or “had gone.” In fact, we were changing his diapers all the time (at the doctor’s behest – to check and make sure he was getting enough milk). We had a lot of up close and personal experience with the Huggies newborn diapers.
Another great thing about the Huggies diapers is the way they are shaped to fit your baby. If the diaper leaks and gets on clothes or blankets, neither you nor your baby is going to be happy about that.
When you are a baby diaper novice, it’s natural to want to try a number of different brands to see what is going to work the best for you and your baby. My philosophy was basically to get the cheapest diaper I could that would still get the job done. I found that the store brand type diapers that I had never heard of seriously underperformed the name brand diapers in terms of performance. They would leak and they get full much more quickly. I tried Huggies and Pampers newborn diapers and found that they were both excellent in terms of absorbency. Some people prefer one over the other, but now I shop between those two brands, based on price.
The way to get the best price on your baby diapers is to buy a large box. Don’t get the small-count boxes to save some money “this week.” Your baby will be in diapers for a long time, so get the big box so your per-diaper price is lowest.
Another trick that I have learned is to keep the baby in the smaller size diapers as long as possible. Huggies diapers size 2 are cheaper than Huggies diapers size 3. There is a fair amount of overlap (5 lbs) between the sizes, so you don’t have to move up a size right away. It’s tempting to want to see your child make progress in his growth and go around saying, “He’s already wearing size 3 diapers!” But if you can keep him in size 2 diapers longer, you’ll save a little bit of money. You can move up when the diapers no longer have the capacity to hold his waste or his waist (haha!). If the diapers are regularly overflowing, or you can’t buckle them on him securely any more, it’s probalby time to move up in size.
You can find great prices on Huggies newborn diapers and convenient free home delivery by shopping on Amazon.com. You’ll appreciate the home delivery more when you are carrying your baby and your groceries in from your car, or on the bus. Those boxes are big and bulky.
